"We recognise that humanity collectively faces intertwined social, political, economic, and environmental crises. And we embrace yoga as a means of engaging with, rather than retreating from, the complexities and problems of the contemporary world"

- Carol Horton

Yoga

I am classically Hatha trained, instructing group classes primarily in North and Central London.

Two days a week I teach corporate and one to one sessions.

My aim is to teach everybody and every-body across all ages and abilities.

Students are encouraged to develop their own practice with a playful and creative approach.

Many of us may actually do a variety of yoga poses in our daily lives without realising and tapping into this enables us to connect better with our bodies, breath and those around us.

In my sessions we may practice a strong slow deep flow. Sometimes incorporating my knowledge of “Kumbhaka “ ( The Pause, which was the topic of my dissertation) whether it be the asanas, the breath or both. I have taken the subject of “Kumbhaka “ and incorporated it into a “Mindful “ Yoga practice.

Breathing enhances the way yoga can de-stress our bodies and minds. Breath to me is everything, far more than the Yoga Butt.

Testimonials

“I first met Dania at SOAS University of London, when she attended my course on the history of yoga. Dania is a keen student, whose enthusiasm for yoga is truly admirable and infectious. I’ve also had the pleasure of attending one of her workshops and, as a teacher, her knowledge and passion for the subject make the classes informative and inspiring. She is naturally inclined to want to help her students as much as she can, which makes her an excellent teacher.”
— Dr Jason Birch Postdoctoral Researcher ERC - Funded Hatha Yoga Project
“I started doing Dania’s Hatha classes 2.5 years ago after treatment for cancer. I was tired and a lot weaker than I had been before, having had 7 rounds of chemo and extensive surgery. I needed a place to build strength, confidence and find calm. I got exactly that, as well as finding Dania caring and a highly skilled teacher, she is funny and manages to make every class feel familiar as well as new. I always come out feeling like I have had a deep tissue massage and allowed my mind to find calm and peace. My strength has built steadily over the 2 years and I never miss a class if I can help it.”

“I have attended (literally) thousands of yoga classed over the last 20 years and have met many yoga teachers. Dania is without a doubt in a league of her own. She is the most creative and exciting teacher by far. Every class is a new adventure. She also has a wonderful personality and great sense of humour – terrific assets for any kind of teacher. It is impossible to be bored in her classes and she is amazing at catering for different levels in the class.”
